Why Naebula exists

Creative collaboration is often strangely hard to begin. A photographer may be looking for a model for a portfolio shoot. A model may be searching for photographers whose style fits their next step. A make-up artist, stylist, hairdresser, videographer, producer, retoucher, or studio may be available for the same project, but discoverable only through old contacts, social feeds, saved posts, group chats, or word-of-mouth.

Naebula was created to make that first step easier. Instead of treating creative work as something that has to be squeezed through general-purpose social media, Naebula gives visual creatives a place where public portfolios, role-based discovery, private favourites, casting calls, studio listings, and messaging belong together.

The project is shaped with photographers and models because their experience sits at the center of many shoots. Their feedback helps keep the product close to real workflows: how people compare portfolios, how they decide who might fit a concept, how they keep track of people they want to work with later, and how a conversation turns into an actual production.

Who it is for

Naebula is for the people behind visual work: models, photographers, make-up artists, hairdressers, stylists, videographers, producers, retouchers, studios, and people organizing creative projects. It is for people building portfolios, planning editorials, arranging paid productions, looking for TFP photoshoots, joining workshops, or finding a studio and team for a visual idea.

The network has a Central European focus, with discovery surfaces for Hungary, Budapest, Austria, Germany, Czechia, and nearby creative scenes. That regional focus matters: creative work is often local enough that location, availability, travel, and trust make a real difference, even when inspiration and portfolios travel much further.

What Naebula is trying to improve

A good model portfolio or photographer directory should do more than exist as a profile link. It should help the right people find each other, understand the kind of work someone wants to create, and start a conversation with more context. Naebula connects profile pages, public role directories, location discovery, casting calls, studio listings, and private favourites so the next step is easier to see.

Favourites are intentionally private. Public profiles are meant to be discoverable. Projects and casting calls are meant to make creative needs clearer. Messaging is there to support the moment when discovery turns into coordination. Each part is small on its own, but together they point toward a calmer way to find collaborators than constantly searching through feeds and old message threads.

What we believe

Naebula is being built with the community, not above it. The goal is not to replace creative judgment with an algorithm, or to flatten artistic work into generic marketplace listings. The goal is to make it easier for people to present their work, find relevant collaborators, and build trust before a shoot happens.

Artistic expression also needs context. Naebula supports creative freedom within the realms of art while taking consent, safety, and platform responsibility seriously. That balance is part of the product: people should have room to share serious creative work without losing sight of the real people involved in making it.
